From the factory, many VW models require you to manually activate the Leaving Home function before the lights will operate. With this coding, the feature can be set to activate automatically when you unlock the car at night, illuminating the area around your vehicle.

The lights can remain on for 10–30 seconds, depending on the vehicle’s available settings.
